Meandarra ANZAC Memorial Museum
The only Museum outside of Canberra granted permission to use "Anzac" in the title.
Meandarra is the hub of a prime production area of grain, cattle, and sheep and is the location of a popular fishing and camping spot.
This community has the largest store facilities for grown wheat in Queensland, with harvesting from mid-October to mid-November.
Brigalow Creek is well know for its water-lilies and fishing for golden perch and jewfish. Camping is permitted on the creek. Meandarra is home to an extensive display of military equipment.
Also on-site, a native wildlife preservation programme offers excellent opportunities to observe and photograph a diverse range of flora and fauna. Stop off at the Leo Gardon Apex Park where free electric barbecues and picnic facilities offer pleasant surrounds.

large flat areas unpowered.

Paved walking /Cycle path beside Creek.
Shade Trees. Quiet area.
Friendly townsfolk.

Meandarra is 230km west of Toowoomba, and is very popular for it's camping/caravans on the banks of the Brigalow Ck.
There is currently 3 RV locations available
A Caravan Park with power, amenities and laundry...one end of town), Beside Brigalow Creek (powered sites water taps, with amenities across the road at the Leo Gordon Apex Park), however there is ample room on unpowered sites for many more caravans and camping. .Also camping is permitted adjacent to the tennis courts , sports oval and bowling club. There are toilets , showers and water taps. (Updated NOV 2013 )
